The Gallery
Nestled in the idyllic fishing village of Well next the Sea on the North Norfolk coast, The Staithe Gallery enjoys one of the most picturesque settings imaginable. Just a few steps from our doorway, you can gaze down the steep, cobbled street to the pretty harbour, the wide open marshes, and the sparkling sea beyond.
Although tucked discreetly beside our friends at Belton & Duffy Estate Agents, The Gallery opens up into a surprisingly spacious and light filled exhibition space, a warm, welcoming retreat from the buzz and bustle of Staithe Street.
Wells is a wonderfully individual place, and our gallery reflects that spirit. We understand that some galleries can feel a little formal, so we invite you to step inside and explore at your leisure, in a relaxed and accessible atmosphere, always without obligation.

Owned by artists David Roger Burton and Caroline Richmond, who have lived in the North Norfolk area for twenty three years, having been captivated by it after a successful exhibition in Holt in 2003. All of the hanging work is created by the couple, who both have diverse styles and offer pieces ranging from seascapes and big skies, paintings featuring British animals, wildlife, and still life, right through to stunning abstracts.
