The HMS Victory Oak Collection
David Roger Burton
Built between 1759 and 1765, HMS Victory, Lord Nelson’s legendary flagship at Trafalgar stands as the world’s oldest and most celebrated warship. When she was dry docked in Portsmouth in 1922 to be preserved for the nation, more than 30 tonnes of oak and copper were carefully removed to secure her final resting place.
Since 2001, David has been crafting heirlooms from these remarkable materials, giving new life to the very timbers and metal that once sailed into history. Each piece carries a certificate of provenance and offers a rare opportunity to own a piece of the past, preserved with integrity for generations to come.
The Collection
offers a wide, varied, ever-changing collection of hand-crafted pieces, from small collectable gifts
to striking wall hangings, natural oak forms and furniture — celebrating Victory,
Nelson, and his county of Norfolk.
